Millennium Stage: Free performances. Every day. Kennedy Center @ 6pm

Kennedy Center - Millennium Stage-4436.jpg

Do I really need to write more? I will, because I suppose some of you may not know about the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center. 20 years ago, former Kennedy Center board chair James Johnson (1996–2004) founded the Millennium Stage, located just outside of the performance halls, and every day at 6pm you can see a free performance. You read that right; every day at 6pm there is a FREE performance at the Kennedy Center.

There simply is no excuse for avoiding free performances at a landmark institution, especially when it is also conveniently accessible. There is a parking lot (yes, you do have to pay to park) in the building, you can take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the front doors, or you can take Metro to the George Washington University stop and hop aboard the…yup, you guessed it…FREE Kennedy Center shuttle bus.

Check out a performance any day at 6pm. Or wait for friends and relatives to visit you and take them. But it is free, you should try it out tomorrow…
