Picking with Delivery
If you pay for Ikea’s Picking with Delivery service, Ikea staff or independent service providers “pick” the items you selected from the shelfs inside the store. Then, your entire order is delivered to your door! This is a great service offered by Ikea. Walk through the store like you always do. Make sure to pick up some of the Ikea-provided blank item sheets, and write down the product codes for all the items you want. Provide your list to an Ikea staff member who will build your order. The Ikea staff member will provide you with a printed list of your selections, which you use to pay at the cash registers.

Ikea’s delivery service is pretty straightforward. Inside the store, you purchase the items and then bring them over to a delivery desk with your receipt. You pay for delivery at this separate counter, and schedule the time and day of your delivery before leaving the store. Ikea 3rd party delivery service brings the items to your home and if you have paid for assembly, your items are not only assembled, but the packing materials are removed for you too.
Assembly
If you desire, Ikea can provide assembly of your purchased items via independent service providers (often the same providers delivering your items).
All of these services are reasonably priced, and remarkably easy to set up. I can speak directly about the satisfaction using all of these services. I have set up two residences for a family member using the combination of picking with delivery and assembly at Ikea. On both occasions, a complete 1-bedroom apartment was setup within 3 days of initial purchase at Ikea. Frankly, it makes the initial setup of a home so easy, I can offer my endorsement of this method of moving into a new home.
