Rooftop bars — Spring is around the corner, where are those rooftop bars?

It is spring, and it is a going to be a beautiful day with the temperature just perfect for being outdoors. And you have some free time with friends who would like to catch up while having some libations. This basic scenario needs a rooftop bar, doesn’t it? I bet that would make for a perfect afternoon. Well, I am here to provide you with some fantastic options, so read on.

  • Beacon Sky Bar — Located atop the Beacon Hotel, the Beacon’s rooftop offers fantastic views of downtown DC. Great for a sunny day or scenic evening.

  • City Winery — There is nothing to complain about when it comes to a winery located within the boarders of DC. City Winery has 300+ seats available for you to choose from on their roof. Grab a seat and a menu and have a great day.

  • Perry’s — This Adams Morgan mainstay has a great roof with table and bar seating and sushi. What is better than that? Being there instead of reading about it here!

  • Jack Rose — at the southern end of Adams Morgan you will find Jack Rose and their wonderful rooftop bar. A scotch drinkers paradise, get ready to have an adventure with a vast selection of options to choose from here.

  • Embassy Row Hotel — Posh. Pool. Paradise. Located in Dupont Circle. Go here and get away from it all for the day.

  • Marvin — A hidden rooftop bar in the U St. neighborhood, I can personally vouch for the grilled scallops as an appetizer. Grab a cocktail, order those scallops or any of their inspired menu options and just…enjoy.

Do you have a favorite rooftop spot? If yes, please let me know, as I am always looking for additional options, especially the hidden gems.
