What, you want wings?
If you eat chicken, you likely eat chicken wings. But what are some options in the metro area to satisfy your chicken wing cravings? I have been in the city long enough to mourn the closing of City Wings, a fine chicken wing joint on U St NW in the 90’s, but despite only having memories of their parmesan and garlic wings, there are plenty of options around the metro area that serve up satisfying wings for consumption. Here are a few:
Bonchon - a global chain of Korean double fried chicken, our author first tasted these fabulous wings in Bangkok, Thailand at the recommendation of a college friend. He was right; delicious!
Trademark Drink And Eat - If you are in Old Town, you should swing by and try the Trademark Bar’s grilled chicken wings. They are also on special during happy hour, so you can test them out at a discount!
Lucky Bar - a longtime Dupont Circle staple for soccer fans (aka, futbol, for some), Lucky Bar is located just below Dupont Circle on Connecticut Avenue NW and offers tasty buffalo wings on their menu.
Lou’s City Bar - DC sports bar in Columbia Heights with a plethora of wing options for you to choose from.
Negril - A chain of Jamaican restaurants, where you can find excellent grilled jerk chicken wings.
Do you have a favorite wing spot? If yes, please let me know, as I am always looking for additional options, especially any grilled wings.
